Yet Another New Theme

// July 5th, 2010 // 493 Comments » // Internets

I’ve updated to this fantastic theme which is exactly what I was looking for. Much LESS emphasis on my infrequent blog posts and much more on my other internet activity.

The theme is called Seven Five and you can get it for free from Press75, along with a heap of fabulous premium themes. Thanks to Jason for such an awesome concept!

Caveats – my Lifestream page still needs a lot of tweaking, I want to add quite a few more widgets to the home page and I can’t quite work out how to add Previous and Next buttons to the blog post listings. But apart from that: AWESOME, right?

Okay, I’m saying awesome too much. Shutting up now.

New Theme!

// July 2nd, 2010 // 381 Comments » // Geekery, Internets

I upgraded to WordPress 3.0 and decided to switch to its default theme for a while. I am on the hunt for a more “lifestreaming” theme as most of my online activity nowadays is in other places than this blog! (as you may have noticed).

Anyway it’s a good chance to try out some of the WordPress 3.0 features.

Two Blogs Are Better Than One?

// December 7th, 2009 // 535 Comments » // Internets, Lesbian

I’m proud to announce the birth of a new blog I’ve started called Lesbian Of The Day. The basic aim is to feature one famous lesbian a day in order to increase positive visibility of successful, interesting and happy lesbians out there. I know when I was a young dykeling, positive images of lesbians were few and far between and I would have loved a site like this (well, any site really since the internets weren’t around then). Don’t expect any fantastic writing or analysis, I’m just gonna put up a big picture and say a few words.

Here’s the lucky lesbians of the days so far:

A New Era – Posterous

// July 3rd, 2009 // 509 Comments » // Internets

Maybe a “new era” is a little strong, but I am trying out a new service called Posterous ( It basically posts anything that you email to it – text, music, photos and video. And then automagically updates this WordPress installation with it. We’ll see how it goes!

Also I have installed a great new theme that is a bit more in keeping with my current style of blogging: NOT blogging but updating Twitter and Facebook a lot. It is an awesome free predesigned theme from WooThemes – thanks guys! You can see it and more here:

Hopefully with Posterous and this new theme, this website will become less of a total embarrassment and easier for me to maintain. Thanks for sticking around!

God I can’t believe how long it’s been since I updated this blog! Nothing much to say, Xmas great, summer fun, off to Tassie tomorrow… as Soph & Max would say, let’s make it Two Thousand and FINE!

Have just upgraded the site to WordPress 2.6. It looks pretty schmicko here in Admin let me tell you! Must get around to making the site work in IE too… cursed IE. Oh, and posting something, that would be good too.

Jemsweb 4.0 Has Arrived

Mmm, chocolately goodness!!

But my apologies to those on IE, I have just noticed the site is completely odd looking for you. I shall be adjusting it later, but right now it’s beer o’clock!

I am contemplating a reskin of Jemsweb as quite frankly I am utterly sick of it. Currently I am leaning towards an orange and dark brown look. I’m just mentioning this so no one gets a terrible shock if it suddenly appears, or if things are suddenly broken! Ooooh the suspense.
