I was very disappointed with the eviction of Keshia from NZ Idol last night. I don’t vote ONE WEEK and look what happens. I can’t even blame it on the Australian public like I usually do.

Actually I have a theory, votes were way down cos everyone got their Telecom bills this week, and were shocked by all those 99c calls – that’s what happened to me anyway.

Jesse better not win or I’m giving up on reality tv for good!

Speaking of reality tv, I’m very glad there’s only two weeks of Big Brother to go. Now I know who wins, it all seems like a pointless waste of 5 hours a week. But Jan has not yet suffered the disappointment of the outcome as she is spoiler free. If only she knew, she too would shun the remaining time! Alas cruel fate!

I am getting overwrought at all the positive reviews of the latest Big Brother series that are coming out of Australia. Seems like the policy of getting only single good-looking arrogant people has paid off! Plus of course there is the great “identical twins who are pretending to be one housemate” spin. Allegedly TV2 are going to play it, but when and how far behind will we be?

Reality TV has sunk to a whole new level with the new US show, ‘Danger Island’. This program “will feature 12 criminals being tracked by professional manhunters on a deserted tropical island. The last criminal to be caught wins, and a $1 million prize will be given to the victim of the winner’s last crime. Murderers, rapists and child molesters will not be allowed to take part.”

Interesting but I think it’s a bit unfair leaving out the murderers. You could get some real excitement with an all-murderers special. Apparently one of the manhunters will be Lou Ferrigno of Incredible Hulk fame! Can’t wait for this one.
