I’m proud to announce the birth of a new blog I’ve started called Lesbian Of The Day. The basic aim is to feature one famous lesbian a day in order to increase positive visibility of successful, interesting and happy lesbians out there. I know when I was a young dykeling, positive images of lesbians were few and far between and I would have loved a site like this (well, any site really since the internets weren’t around then). Don’t expect any fantastic writing or analysis, I’m just gonna put up a big picture and say a few words.

Have just upgraded the site to WordPress 2.6. It looks pretty schmicko here in Admin let me tell you! Must get around to making the site work in IE too… cursed IE. Oh, and posting something, that would be good too.

I am contemplating a reskin of Jemsweb as quite frankly I am utterly sick of it. Currently I am leaning towards an orange and dark brown look. I’m just mentioning this so no one gets a terrible shock if it suddenly appears, or if things are suddenly broken! Ooooh the suspense.

In case anyone’s wondering, the reason my Flickr stream has turned into a succession of self portraits is that I am doing a meme where I have to take one photo of myself a day and add them to a set. It’s not that I am an egotistical maniac who prefers taking shots of herself to taking photos of her small rapidly growing children. Probably not.

I’ve upgraded the blog to WordPress 2.0; and it seems to have stuffed up the layout a bit. Sorry about that! No time to fix today but I will address it soon – in the meantime if you notice any other weirdnesses, let me know. Hopefully the site will load a bit quicker now as I’ve implemented WP-Cache.

After three weeks of ignoring unapproved comments on this site, I had 518 spam comments and 1 real one (Hi Linda!)

Once again I have proved to myself that if I don’t blog every day, I will fall by the side of the information superhighway in a pile of unmotivated goo. So once again I am resolved to take up the baton of bloggliness and put up a post every day, even if it is a boring link or You Tube video – but SOMETHING. Despite all the madness life is throwing at me at the moment, the blog must take priority!!

Busybusybusy. So busy. The kind of busy where you’re almost hoping you have a heart attack or a nervous breakdown becuase then at least you’re be lying down. But that’s a natural consequence of doing two papers, having two toddlers and having tons of work on I suppose. Oh, and also I have a chemistry exam tonight but am succesfully blocking that from my mind, as I haven’t had any time to study for it.

Busy being a “solo” mother while I work. Bringing up our offspring brilliantly. Doesn’t have anyone to play World of Warcraft with any more.

He’s had a horrible lurgy the last week with a rash and hoarse throat. But back at kindy today for the first time in ages. Hooray! Is currently obsessed with Madagascar and (still) Hi-5.

Cute but evil. Charming yet strongwilled. Many many tantrums interspersed with incredibly cute chattering. He has invented some new words including “hopalop” (lollipop) and “oranjinin” (orange).
