A lovely simulation of the Earth getting destroyed by a meteorite.

Macron Magic

Thursday, June 8th, 2006

Now I am doing a few NZ websites, I have found the need to use the macron over some vowels in Māori words. It took me ages to work out what the codes were in HTML. So for future reference, here they are (so far):
ā - ā
ō - ō
Haven’t had to use the “i” yet [...]

Games Are Good

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

Been reading about the latest Will Wright game that is in development. In case you haven’t heard of Will Wright, he’s the closest thing to Elvis in the world of game designers - made the Sims which is the biggest selling game of all time.

Got 80% on my biology test. Gotta be happy with that I guess!

Outcome

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Anyway! Cell biology has been kind of average so far [...]

So Tired

Monday, February 27th, 2006

I had to work all weekend, until 1am last night. Then get up for a 9am chemistry lecture - my first day of Semester 1. And guess what? They gave us an assignment that’s due in on Friday. Oh joy. A lot of spotty first years - 250 in our class - but I’m just [...]

Yay!

The exam was pretty easy! So I’m happy.

Onwards and Upwards

Friday, February 24th, 2006

Our four days in the lab have come to an end. It was a bit of an eye-opener. I can see I will have to get a lot more careful and coordinated if I am to become a successful chemist.
Things I learned:
It’s good to know the substance you are dealing with
Better to take things slowly [...]
