I’ve been trying to think of what to say about what appears to be the enormous success the Republicans had in using gay couples’ rights to gain critical votes in key states. Things we can anticipate now that Bush has been given a “mandate” by the American people: Pre-emptive missile strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities? Full-scale assault on Fallujah? Altering the constitution to ban gay marriage? Abortion illegal in the USA?
We are screwed!

Well, American election tomorrow our time. Personally I am getting bad feelings (no doubt brought on by recent crushing Australian election) that we may be in for four more years of Bush. And now there’ll be three more years of Little Johnny - and the prospect of a Howard-Bush victory is looming. Excuse me while I roll on the [...]

“IN A MOVE many cynics are calling a blatant ploy to win the coveted ‘pink vote’, Mr Howard has surprisingly backflipped on his previous committment to ban gay marriage. Even more surprisingly, his change of heart is apparently linked to a burgeoning romance with Kirribilli plumber Mal Teameru, who was previously only considered a passing [...]
