School Holidays
Aside from my feelings about school holidays as a parent, it is interesting how much of a difference they make to the Wellington vibe. At university today, there were kids in the cafe, and in the hallways. And sitting here in my little shoebox of an office, I am frequently hearing kids’ voices echoing up the alleyway next to me.
It’s all kind of nice. There aren’t enough kids around in Western society I reckon - it’s not a very kid-friendly construct.
Still, let’s spare a thought for my co-parent who has had to put the telly on already at home, as it is raining, there are service-people around, and the kids were going crazy!

Hear, hear for lovely partners who shoulder a lot of the parenting, and Happy Birthday to Archie (and my mum, Maggie)!
