Downhill Is Uphill

Yay! The NZ dollar is going down fast it would seem, and that’s good news for me. I “export” my services to Australia mostly, have an Oz bank account, and then every so often transfer bulk amounts over to the NZ account. Today I made $500 profit on AU$2 600. So sink further, little Kiwi dollar, down - down - down!!

Noooooo! Not until next week when I’ve paid for my new boots from Americkky.

  2. Patrick says:

I second that nooooo, not until after next week and I’ve moved to Canada and changed a whole chunk of change.

Holy schmoly, that’s a chunk o’ change. Yay you.
I’ve been watching the Kiwi since 1997, when expats in HK used to move money around to make money. I never had the cajones, though.
Kiwi CDs are reasonable again. Icebreaker woolens are still too dear, as are shipments of Anathoth’s jam and Cadbury’s. I feel for Martha and Patrick.
I remember when the Kiwi traded for $1.80, $2, $2.40, and $1.40 to the usd - all were great trips and worth going a little broke over.
