Is it wrong for a 37 year old woman to be slightly obsessed with Lindsay Lohan?

Journey With Me Through iTunes

Stealing this meme from Wanda and Hers.
These were the instructions: Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question
How does the world see you?

Oh my god! I’m a […]

Rich Jems, Poor Jems

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

The recent financial crisis coupled with total lack of free time has led me down a path of thinking somewhat foreign to me. Yes folks, I’m now thinking RAMPANT CAPITALISM. I borrowed Rich Dad, Poor Dad from a friend, and though it was poorly written and somewhat right wing with its whole “poor people are […]

Hail Xenu!!

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

The continuing battle between South Park and Scientology has escalated a bit, allegations of Tom Cruise getting an episode pulled from repeats, and Isaac Hayes quitting over the show’s anti-Scientology episode. I was very amused however by a recent statement released by the show’s creators, Trey & Matt:
So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, […]

Balance

Saturday, March 18th, 2006

Two big changes have occurred in our lives recently that have altered our day-to-day existence. My starting university is one. The second is the realisation that I have NOT been bringing in enough cash to support us all, and essentially we’ve been subsidising ourselves with a redraw facility. Not a pleasant realisation! So now not […]

Beep Beep

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

I have driven up to the university and back twice today on my new scooter. Great fun if a little scary at first. I determined that it WILL go up Devon Street so that makes my trip quicker. And there’s a motorbike parking area right outside my lecture theatre.
Hopefully it will only cost me $4 […]

Bad Day

Tuesday, March 14th, 2006

You know it’s a bad day when….

Archie stands on your glasses and breaks them beyond repair

You have a nasty cold

You get your period

You discover you have three ulcers on the roof of your mouth that are incredibly painful

You can’t find your chemistry textbook anywhere

Got a good haircut though.

New Vehicle

Monday, March 13th, 2006

I have got a new vehicle to travel to university on - a bright yellow moped called a JinJiang QT-50. I shall post some pics soon. This will be great as I can get maximum work time out of the day if I don’t have to wait around for buses, and parking isn’t a problem! […]

Biological Bad Ass

Friday, March 10th, 2006

In my new part-time uni, full-time work schedule, Thursday is the day I spend 9-5 up at university. Did this for the first time yesterday and it was great! I so wish I could afford to be a full time student. Ah well, I can dream.
Anyway! Cell biology has been kind of average so far […]

Harry, Darling

Friday, March 10th, 2006

Harry has taken to adding “darling” to the end of his sentences. A real life example:
HARRY: It’s cucumber.
JAN: No, it’s tomato.
HARRY: No, it’s cucumber darling.
Other new amusing words: “wow”, “cool”, and “for god’s sake”
