A Hen’s Hangover

// January 5th, 2006 // Life

Jan and I attended the hens’ party of my soon to be sister-in-law, Danilia, last night. That girl is up for anything! My respect for her increased every more over the course of the evening. There were simulated sex acts with vegetables, a large inflatable derriere, torturing of gentlemen with moustaches and of course the obligatory visit to Boogie Wonderland. Actually I had a lot of fun at B.W., dancing to disco is just plain fun, especially when the handsome bar staff come onto the flashing floor and do a John Travolta-eqsue number. Around 1 we hooked up with the stag do – of course they wouldn’t come to Boogie Wonderland so it was off to Motel Bar where I drank more than I should have but had a great time and got home about 3am.

Plus we have a great new babysitter who amply proved herself last night.

I have finally sorted out my outfit for the wedding and the boys have little Indian-style suits to wear. I’m driving up tomorrow for the rehearsal. I feel like I can finally relax now the dress side of things has been taken care of!

    sounds similar to the old Beastie Boys stage shows back in the day, only this was girls going wild. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

    Looking forward to photos, if you have any, and definately some from the wedding!

    Well done on the wedding attire selection. It’s so much easier if you have some cultural thang going on, being a scot I get to wear a kilt to anything formal (including my own wedding next month!)

    the truth is there is no way Boogie Wonderland would let a group of 15 guys in at once. And we did not fit their stupid dress code. The rule in Wellington is “If they have ANY dress code do not go there.”

    I too like disco but some shammy Courtenay Place tycoons idea of it…wall to wall Supre girls and guys with those yuck shirts with the splattery paint bit….is not the same thing,
