Thanks everyone for your suggestions. It's a complex issue I think! Hello and Picasa seem to be pretty Blogger-specific... My main problem is that I like them as they are so want to replicate that really. I have found a few WordPress plugins that hopefully I can customise so we'll have a sortie down that track...

I downloaded Picasa but I find it more irritating than useful, so I just use the usual windows-type folders to organise my photos. As for posting them, I use a complex combination of photobucket, hello and flickr.

Don't know if it would help you - I use Google's Hello (http://www.hello.com) for my Blogger site - it may be linked to Blogger though (also a Google owned thing).

But, the other Google (there, that's the 3 mentions out of the way :-) tool I use is Picasa - that will probably have the tools you want. Have to upload the piccies yourself though.

Hope it helps somehow

Photoshop has a batch facility which can churn out some thumbnails for you [as part of the web gallery batch as well]... or is this still too much of a hassle?

Nice to see the love of block spans the generations.
