After only a few days I have surpassed my previous sticking point and am now fully hooked. Looks like San Andreas will probably be "platinum" or discounted by the time I am ready to enjoy it. Also, I was excited to hear familiar samples of two recent club hits in just one song playing on Fever 105 in Vice City. Oliver Cheatham’s “Get Down Saturday Night” was basically the backbone of Room 5’s [the DJ aka Junior Jack or Vito Lucente] recent groovy hit “Make Luv”. And a sample from that same song was re-recorded to provide the hook for the current hit “The Weekend” by Michael Gray [“I can’t wait for Saturday” was changed to “I can’t wait for the weekend to begin”]. Yay! to GTA and hidden depths of pop culture education.
