I have been having a bit of a family crisis over the last few days with my Grandma. Not sure if my loyal readers are aware that my Grandma Elizabeth, plus my Aunt Deborah and cousin Sunshine, live in Auckland - it’s lovely to be spending some time with those relations.

Grandma is 88 and still lives at her own home in One Tree Hill, but last week while picking parsley in the garden, she had a fall. Luckily she didn’t break anything but did strain her knee which rendered her immobile. So she was in hospital for a few days, which is never good for her - she tends to go a bit loopy and paranoid when in a ward - and who can blame her?

Then Deborah was staying with her to make sure she was okay at home, and she fell over again when getting out of bed. No injuries this time but obviously she can’t cope too well at the moment by herself. So my mother is coming over this afternoon to help out, and to help make some family decisions. Not sure yet what will be happening. But it will be nice to see me mum - Archie is very excited to hear that NN is coming!
