Back To Island
Finally back on Waiheke after our journey to Wanganui. We stopped off in Rotorua for a night and went to Whakarewarewa Thermal Village the next morning, which was fantastic - saw a Maori cultural performance with pois and hakas and things that Archie just loved. Also saw some geysers and boiling mud pools. Then we quickly zapped back up to Auckland and came over to the island on the last ferry. It was a bit rough and driving off the ferry onto solid ground was a terrifying experience, huge waves crashing over the ramp and so on.
We are sick of being nomads and are very desperate to get a permanent flat now. Going to ring some places as soon as I disconnect - damn dialup!
