Here I am, back online with my dialup iHug connection. What a relief! And I only had about 120 emails in my inbox after four days of not collecting them so it could have been worse. Of course 70 of them were spam!
Also I wrote this bloody long entry on Friday which has been lost in the mists of the internet. I can’t remember it and will not try and recreate it – such is life.
We are now in the Acacia Park Motel in Wanganui. It’s lovely actually, incredibly cool retro lino and carpet. Plus it has a separate bedroom which is great for Archie. Had a pretty uneventful journey up through the Wairarapa. We went to Mum’s place and met her tenants, the female half of whom was a complete weirdo, kind of like she had been completely drug fucked and then become a born again Christian. Friendly but freaked out by the lesbian family!
God the countryside was gorgeous on the way up though, you can just drink it up with your eyes. Funnily enough it kept reminding me of Lord of the Rings! Hmm.
We went round to Jan’s mother’s for tea tonight and watched Shortland Street. We couldn’t watch the BB eviction as it is on this channel here called Prime which is only available in the big cities, unless you have cable. So I am about to go to the BB website and see who got the chop.

oh my god its so weird that you’re in wangas!! i guess its weird for you, too… when i went there over xmas i got really depressed at first and nearly had a mental breakdown! but after 3 days or so i kinda got into it – did a big cycle ride all around town and out to castlecliff for a swim in my smalls! (yes, i have now become the ‘freaky adult’-type that i spent my youth sniggering at) . i was supposed to stay six days but only managed 5 though. you all are very brave! xxx
