Apologies for Jemsweb mysteriously reverting to its last Tuesday state - no idea what happened there! Ah, technology - it’s a bittersweet relationship.

Had a very busy weekend of moving, packing and finally drinking… We are pretty organised to go now. We had our farewell drinks on Sunday afternoon, which was very pleasant but tinged with sadness. There are a lot of people who I will miss very very much. Love to you all.

We sold our car tonight to the first person who came to see it! I had just taken it through the car wash so it was sparkly and impressive. It’s the purchaser’s first car (his dad paid for it). I think he’ll have a great time hooning around in it! Quite a change from its previous existence as baby carrier. Thanks Mazda Astina for your (nearly) three years of service. And now to meet our new car, who shall either be named Odysseus, Brad or Moon Unit - cast your votes now!

Glyn and Anna have moved in and are being subjected to a constant diet of Big Brother and Atkins meals. Poor things!

Also got confirmation that we can live on Waiheke Island for a while when we arrive. We are very much looking forward to that let me tell you! A complete change from Sydders, which is after all - the point!
