Easter Wrap Up

Had a great long weekend. Busy busy!

Friday
Anthony came over for a lunchtime bbq. Lovely to see him in the flesh as it had been a while. My family gatecrashed the lunch, but nice to see them as well! ;-)

SecureIn the evening we went to Jake’s art opening. There was a huge crowd there, and it was fun going out to an evening event with the kiddies. Archie absolutely rampaged about, having a grand old time.

Met this chick there who I hadn’t seen since I was about twelve I reckon, it took me a while to place her and I think maybe she was offended I didn’t remember her. I just have such a shocking memory, most of my past is just a vague haze. Hopefully this blog will help with that!

Saturday
General lazing about day. Noice!

Yum!Sunday
Archie had a gigantic chocolate breakfast courtesy of his Uncle Glyn. Went up to Mum’s for a family day. We had brunch, mine was ham on bacon - yum!

Ned & I organised an Easter egg hunt, fun to plan and observe. Had a huge bbq in the evening. I was quite prepared to have some chocolate if I felt tempted but I didn’t have any urges.

Monday
The PlungeWent south to the Royal National Park with Ned, Dins, Jake & Rose. We finally got to go to Wattamolla, Jake’s favourite spot. It’s quite amazing - there’s a beach and then about 2 metres from that, an inland lagoon which is very shallow and great for kids. There’s a big rock though that all the macho boys jump off. It was incredibly crowded there yesterday though, apparently it is usually quite deserted. The boys had fun but it got a bit cold just as we arrived, so Archie just kept shivering when he was in the water. Got him out and wrapped him up warm! Jake, Ned & Din jumped off the rock, spectacular.

Today
Booked some tickets to go and see Cody Chesnutt tomorrow night at the Metro. I have got his album The Headphone Masterpiece and think it is truly amazing, and my brother Sam went to see him in Auckland over the weekend and said he was incredible. Should be exciting! We are heading off for dinner tonight with Glyn’s relations who Jan hasn’t seen since she was little. We booked our tickets to go to NZ, heading off on June 4th. So much to do before then… argh…
