ChesnuTT Rules!
Jan & I had a great time at the gig. I had never been to the Metro before, it’s a pretty good venue - good views no matter where you are. Bumped into our old neighbour Gary, aka The Mayor of Hugo St. He is a duty manager there so we got some cheap drinks. The support act was Dan Kelly, he is Paul Kelly’s nephew, but didn’t think much of him, fairly dull Oz pub rock stuff.
Finally Cody came on. Before he started playing he spent ten minutes shaking hands with everyone he could reach in the audience, and taking photos of them. He had a small band: a complete insane drummer who must have watched too much Animal on the Muppets in his youth, and had a huge afro, name of Crackin’ The Skins Craig; and Chopper, a very thin bass player with a long mo and hair. Both very good of course. Just a fantastic show, very tight yet with a loose atmosphere unlike any other concert I’ve seen - really connecting with the audience. I’m sure he will be a star one day soon.
Sadly the price we paid was a small L Word disaster - I set the timer wrong and Ned only realised 15 minutes later, so we have missed the first 15 - could have been worse I suppose!

Hopefully my taping worked (I’ll check tonight) and I can lend it to you.
